STCW & MLC training course for HR & crewing agencies

For every crewing department of a shipping company, it is important to know whether all seafarers are sufficiently certified, and that is not always easy. Different STCW Codes are required for each type of vessel, size, and purpose. Rood Boven Groen regularly supports HR & crewing staff who are lost in the STCW & MLC paperwork sea. The STCW – MLC training is designed to help crewing agencies and maritime HR departments navigate through this sea.

During the STCW & MLC training, we provide an introduction to the Maritime Regulatory Framework (SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW, MLC) and applying STCW & MLC to vessels flying the Dutch flag. Participants gain insight into the practical requirements arising from Dutch legislation and the assessment of relevant documentation (such as training certificates and contracts).

The training takes 1 day, with 1 half-day (4 hours) dedicated to STCW and 1 half-day to MLC. The training consists of presentations, exercises, and time for questions. The training materials are in English. The trainers will conduct the training in Dutch, unless speaking English is preferred.
