German proof of training certificate MC & MFA accepted by Dutch flag

Recently there was uncertainty about the acceptance of the STCW training certificates Medical Care and Medical First Aid issued by a German training institute. This is because in Germany a certificate is issued for participation in the training, but not a Certificate of Proficiency. The Bundesamt für Seeschiffahrt und Hydrographie (BSH) states on the German CoC that the seafarer has completed the Medical Care and Medical First Aid training, but does not issue a COP for it. It is now known that IL&T accepts the certificate of participation in the MFA & MC training issued by a German training institute when applying for a Dutch CoC. This is useful to know if you need an MFA / MC training and are considering doing it in Germany or if you have recently completed the training and you want to renew your Dutch CoC. For the STCW training courses BST, AFF, and PSCRB, you can apply for the Certificate of Proficiency with your participation certificate at the BSH. This procedure is stated on the participation certificate.
