The Netherlands in 2nd place on the ParisMOU whitelist

When ships call at a foreign port, a Port State Control inspection may take place to check whether the ship complies with international regulations. The chance of inspection depends on the risk profile of the ship, which is partly influenced by the flag under which it sails. A quality flag reduces inspection pressure and improves the risk profile. The Dutch flag is known as a quality flag and has been scoring well in the inspection region of the Paris MoU for years. The 2023 rankings have recently been published and the Netherlands proudly takes 2nd place in the ‘white-list’. This is an achievement of the shipowners who sail with Dutch-flagged ships.
