GMDSS certificate issued in a country other than the national CoC

It is becoming increasingly common for foreign seafarers to have a GMDSS certificate issued by a different country than where their national CoC has been issued. If this applies to you, you will need to request recognition for both documents. This also applies to seafarers with a Dutch diploma and a GMDSS issued by a country other than the Netherlands. In this case, separate recognition must be requested for the GMDSS.
