Designated Security Duties
Mandatory for
Seafarers on board of an ISPS ship who are assigned with security duties related to the Ship Security Plan.

No specific requirements have been set.
STCW code
STCW, Regulation VI/6, paragraph 4,5 & 6, section A-VI/6.6-8 and table A-VI/6-2.
Content
The course consists of the following parts:
- Maintaining the conditions set out in a ship security plan.
- Recognition of security risks and threats.
- Undertaking regular security inspections of the ship.
- Proper use of security equipment and systems (as required).
- Practical participation.
Duration
1 day
Course time schedule
8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Course completion
Upon satisfactory completion of the course an official STCW certificate will be issued and a signed entry will be made in the Seaman’s book.
Particularities
Prices are per person and include all training materials and certificates. Refreshments are included and in the case of a full day’s training lunch will be provided. All prices are exclusive of VAT (21%). For groups of 5 participants or more we can offer a discount. The minimum number of participants per training is 5 and the maximum is 24.
